Excessive talking should be discouraged, whether in-person, groups, or on cell phones. There should be no audible music in the lab at any time. The lab is a place to work; it is not a place for a group to get together to talk. Therefore, anyone not using a workstation or quietly studying should be asked to politely leave the lab if they are observed to be disruptive.
