Priority Policy

During busy times, like during finals week, it is sometimes necessary to implement a priority policy in the labs, and waiting lists may need to be established. Waiting lists are “first-come, first-served.” Customers playing games or non-students have the lowest priority in terms of getting a computer. YOU are responsible for enforcing this priority policy and asking people doing lower priority activities to wait if necessary!

Lab Customer Priority (Highest to Lowest):

  1. Classes scheduled in the lab.
  2. Students working on class work from classes or sections held in the lab.
  3. Students using software or hardware only available in a particular lab.
  4. Students working on class work.
  5. Non-students (including staff and faculty).
  6. Students who are not working on class work.
  7. Students playing games.
