Security Introduction

Security is an extremely important part of this position and must be taken very seriously. As a consultant, you will be trusted with many pieces of information, which must not be shared with others. Among these are your Omnilock code, alarm codes, the Consultant cabinet code, and the Consultant website password.

  • Passwords and codes should be stored in a very secure place.
  • Passwords should never be publicly visible.
  • Never include identifying information with codes (i.e. name of lab with its code).
  • Do not say codes out loud in public, or in an insecure location.
  • Never broadcast passwords or codes over insecure forms of communication, such as unencrypted web pages (i.e. support request system) and email.

Please do not ever ask a customer for their password. Passwords should never be shared with anyone.
