Errors in Printouts

Encourage customers to “Print Preview” their work before printing because printouts sent to the printer in error, or with errors on them, are the responsibility of the customer. However, in the event of a printer or network error (printer jams, low toner, etc.), please have the customer send the document again and issue a refund request (see below).

Occasionally a job will be sent to the printer and instead of printing properly it spews many pages of postscript code or other garbage. It is important to pay attention to the printer in order to stop postscript spew early on. To do this press the job cancel button, which is physically on the printer, next to the display (it may take a couple of minutes to cancel–be patient). Do not power cycle the printer for this issue. If you power cycle the printer, the print server sees that its connection to the printer was dropped and it tries to send the job again, causing even more unwanted postscript prints. Request the customer to submit a refund request through wēpa support.
