Introduction

Welcome to Learning Technologies! This handbook will be your primary reference for working as a Student Consultant in the Learning Technologies computer labs and the McHenry and Science and Engineering libraries. This handbook outlines Student Consultant resources and responsibilities, computer lab policies, scheduling information, standard and emergency procedures, and virtually everything else you will need to know as a Learning Technologies Student Consultant. Please read this handbook thoroughly, as you will be held responsible for knowing and understanding all the information it contains.

Many aspects of your job performance will directly relate to your understanding of this information, so be prepared to revisit this handbook after a few weeks of experience as a Student Consultant!

For your convenience, a slim version of the Student Consultant Handbook is located in every Learning Technologies lab and at the libraries. This slim version contains the most pertinent information a consultant needs to know.
