Introduction
As a student Consultant, you are expected to provide ‘on-site expert’ knowledge of the supported software in our labs and in the libraries. This section will give you an overview of what our supported software is as well as some specifics on our workstation configuration.
If you get a request from an instructor or TA for installation of any hardware, software, etc., please tell them to submit their request online at https://its.ucsc.edu/computer-labs/reserve/. This way the Lab Operations Manager can talk to them directly and make sure that we are clear on their needs so that we can efficiently take care of them. Do not forward the information on their behalf, as we usually have follow up questions for them that would be delayed.
