Science and Engineering Library

The Science and Engineering Library has Mac and Windows computers, two printers, and three copiers available to UCSC students, faculty, and community patrons. Learning Technologies manages the non-specialized public computing desktop machines in this library as well. The consultant desk at this library is located at the circulation desk, the first right as you enter the main entrance. Just like McHenry Library you don’t need to enter your omnilock code or enter an alarm code when closing. Additionally, The consultant supply cabinet can be found near the back area of the circulation desk near the Mac check-in station.

Once you start your shift, make sure you know where the printers and computers are in the library. You are responsible for filling the printers with paper and toner. There are also opening and closing procedures associated with these pieces of equipment. To view a map of all the printers and computers in the library, go to labs dropdown menu and navigate to either of the library pages.

NOTE: If any customers need help with the Active learning Classroom (ALC), please have them submit an IT Request ticket at https://itrequest.ucsc.edu/, as Learning Technologies is not responsible with the ALC.

As always, please make sure to decrement each supply via the Supply Tracker on corresponding lab page.
